The Newborn Photography Experience
01 - Enquire
Tell me a little about your family and your baby’s due date. I’ll send through some information about my sessions and let you know what availability I have around your due date.
02 - Secure your spot
Once I have a few details, I’ll send through everything you need to know about your newborn photography experience, including my booking guide and a short questionnaire. This helps me get to know your family a little better and understand what’s most important to you, so we can create something truly meaningful for you to remember this time.
03 - Baby arrives
Once your little one arrives, let me know and we’ll lock in a session date based on your baby’s age, availability and your preferences.
04 - Session day
I’ll gently guide you through the newborn photography session at my Melton West studio. There will be plenty of time for feeding, changing and settling your baby.
05 - Choose your images
You will receive your selection gallery within 48 hours of your newborn photography session. You can choose all your favourite images and add on additional digital images.
06 - Final gallery
I’ll carefully edit your selected images and deliver a beautiful gallery online within two weeks. Once you have received your final gallery, you can purchase albums and prints from the gallery.
My approach to Newborn Photography
Every baby is different, and I don’t expect every baby to love every pose.
My sessions are relaxed and baby-led. Some babies settle into any position, while others have preferred poses, and that is completely okay!
I’ll take the time to settle your baby, make gentle adjustments and follow their cues. There are plenty of breaks for feeding, cuddles and comforting whenever they need them.
I book a limited number of newborn photoshoots each month to ensure you get the best possible experience, including a calm, stress-free session.
Family photos are also included in all session types because these moments are about more than just your baby. They’re about capturing the connection, love and bond between you all.
There’s no pressure for your baby to “perform” or fit into a certain pose. We simply work with your baby, at their pace, and create beautiful images along the way

Your baby’s safety is always my top priority. I’m fully vaccinated, trained in newborn safety, and have completed professional newborn photography training with industry leaders Ana Brandt and Kelly Brown.
My newborn sessions are baby-led and completely relaxed. You don't need to have a perfectly settled baby, know how to pose or worry about whether your little one will sleep. Babies need feeds, cuddles, settling and plenty of breaks, and we simply work around what they need on the day.
You can choose a calm, fully equipped studio session in Melton (with no cleaning or preparation needed!) or a comfortable in-home session across Melton, Werribee, Bacchus Marsh and surrounding suburbs. Your baby can be photographed on their own, with gently posed images, and with you and their siblings too.
I have a newborn wardrobe with beautiful little pieces ready to use, so you don't need to worry about finding the perfect outfit for your baby. You just need to bring your usual nappy bag and your family.
With gentle guidance, plenty of time and no pressure for everything to go perfectly, my aim is to make your newborn photography session feel calm, comfortable and enjoyable while capturing the tiny details and connections you'll want to remember.

Newborn photography is about capturing all those tiny details and the moments that make this stage so special. From little fingers and toes to sleepy cuddles, tiny stretches and the way they fit into your arms, a newborn session gives you beautiful photographs to remember just how little they were.
Your session can include your baby on their own, gently posed photos, as well as photographs with parents and siblings, so your whole family is part of these memories. I offer both lifestyle and studio photography in my Melton studio, giving you the option to choose the style that feels right for your family, or choose a combination of both.
Newborn sessions typically take around 2 hours, but there is no rush. Sessions are relaxed and baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles. There are no expectations for your baby to stay settled the whole time, and I’ll gently guide you through the session so you can simply enjoy being together.
