At Bunch Photography, I offer relaxed Fresh 48 newborn photography in Melbourne's Western Suburbs, capturing those beautiful first moments in a natural and meaningful way.
Fresh 48 sessions are all about documenting your baby exactly as they are in those first couple of days, without the need for elaborate posing or complicated setups.
What is Fresh 48 Photography?
A Fresh 48 session is a lifestyle newborn photography session that takes place within the first 48 hours after your baby is born. These sessions typically take 30-45 minutes and take place in hospital or at home.
Fresh 48 photography documents the very beginning of your baby's story.
These sessions can include beautiful, natural images of:

Unlike a newborn photography session, Fresh 48 photographs are less about posed images and more about documenting your baby's very first days. These photos are about remembering how it really felt to meet your baby for the first time.
The Fresh 48 Photography Experience
01 - Enquire
Tell me a little about your family, your due date and what you’re looking for. I’ll send through everything you need to know about your Fresh 48 photography session.
02 - Secure your spot
I will send through a contract, questionnaire and booking invoice to lock in your session.
03 - Baby arrives
Once your little one arrives, let me know and we’ll lock in a session date based on baby’s age, availability and your preferences.
04 - Session day
I’ll gently guide you through the fresh 48 photography session at the hospital or your home. There will be plenty of time for feeding, changing and settling your baby.
05 - Choose your images
You will receive your selection gallery within 48 hours of your session. You can choose all your favourite images and add on additional digital images.
06 - Final gallery
I’ll carefully edit your selected images and deliver a beautiful gallery online within two weeks. Once you have received your final gallery, you can purchase albums and prints from the gallery.

Fresh 48 sessions are completely unposed and relaxed. There’s no need to worry about knowing what to do in front of the camera or getting everyone to look perfect. I’ll capture the little details, cuddles, feeds, sleepy moments and all the in-between parts of this special time as they naturally happen.
Your comfort and your baby’s safety are always my priority. I’m fully vaccinated, trained in newborn safety, and have completed professional newborn photography training with industry leaders Ana Brandt and Kelly Brown.
Sessions can take place in hospital or at home, depending on what suits your family. Whether it’s your baby’s tiny fingers, their first cuddles with you, older siblings meeting their new brother or sister, or the quiet moments in between, I’ll document this time without interrupting it.
You don't need to prepare your home or worry about having everything looking perfect. You just need to be together with your new baby. I’ll gently guide you when needed, while allowing the session to unfold naturally.
