Frequently asked questions

I recommend scheduling the session within the first 5-14 days after birth, when babies are sleepiest and easier to pose.
Absolutely! Including siblings and parents adds to the storytelling and creates beautiful family memories.
Neutral tones and simple patterns work best for timeless photos, I also enjoy working with dark colours in studio. Avoid bright colours or busy patterns that may distract from your faces and interactions.
Studio sessions offer a controlled environment with professional lighting and a wider range of props available, I also ensure the temperature is set to the recommendation for newborn photography. In-home sessions, on the other hand, provide a natural, lifestyle feel, capturing your family in the comfort of your own space, I bring along select props and lighting. In-home sessions do take a little longer as I will need to set up and pack up my equipment.
Newborn Sessions: Typically 2-3 hours to allow for feeding, changing, and soothing breaks.
