Hi! I'm Samara,

Melbourne Newborn, Family & Maternity Photographer

I'm a mum, photographer and teacher, and I love capturing the little moments that make family life so special.

Based in Melton West, I photograph newborns, maternity and families across Melbourne's Western Suburbs. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself in front of my camera. You don't need to know how to pose or worry about getting everything just right.

After years of working with children and families, I know that things don't always go to plan, and that's okay! I'll gently guide you through your session while letting kids be kids and making room for the real moments, little personalities and connections that make your family yours.

Whether you're celebrating your pregnancy, welcoming a new baby or simply wanting to freeze a little stage of family life, I'd love to help you capture memories you'll look back on for years to come.

We got the gallery of photos 3 days later and fell in love with the work, truly worth every cent!"

"In absolute awe of our newborn and family photography from Bunch Photography. Samara was extremely patient throughout the process with our unsettled two year old, she was gentle and calm and always worked around her, still capturing magical moments of us all"

Your Questions, Answered

How far in advance should I book a session?

I recommend booking a few weeks in advance, especially if you have a specific date or weekend in mind. If you're hoping to capture a particular season, such as autumn colours or summer evenings, it's worth getting in touch a little earlier. I also take last-minute bookings when I have availability, so it never hurts to ask!

All packages include professionally edited, high-resolution JPEGs delivered via a secure online gallery.

I will send your selection gallery to you within 48 hours for you to select your favourite images. You will receive your final, edited gallery within 2 weeks after you select your images.

When will I receive my images?

What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate for an outdoor shoot?

I monitor forecasts closely. If conditions look unfavourable, I’ll suggest rescheduling at no extra cost or moving to my Melton West studio for an indoor session.

When should I book my newborn session?

I recommend booking during pregnancy, usually in the second or third trimester. Sessions are ideally held within the first few weeks after birth, but there's no need to worry if your baby is older than this. Beautiful newborn photos can still be captured as your baby grows.

Relaxed Newborn Photography in Melton & Melbourne's West

My newborn photography sessions are relaxed, calm and baby-led. Whether you'd prefer the comfort of your own home or a studio session in Melton West, we'll work around your baby and your family.

There's plenty of time for feeding, changing, cuddles and settling, with family and sibling photos included. You don't need to have a perfectly settled baby or know how to pose in front of the camera. I'll gently guide you through the session while capturing the tiny details, connections and moments that make these early days so special.

Your baby's safety comes first

Your baby's safety and comfort are always my priority. I'm trained in newborn safety, first aid and CPR, and take a calm, patient approach to every session.

There's no rushing or pressure for your baby to cooperate. Every baby is different, so we'll follow their cues and take things at their pace, making sure there's time for whatever they need along the way.

Let's Work Together

Whether you're expecting a new baby, welcoming your newborn or simply want to capture your family as they are right now, I'd love to help.

Get in touch and we can chat about your session, what you're looking for and which option will work best for your family.

I'd love to hear from you.
